August at Jago’s Tribe — Growing Up & New Adventures

August has been another busy month at Jago’s Tribe — new launches, new plans and, at home, a little boy who seems determined to grow up far too quickly.
One of the biggest moments this month was finally launching our boys’ shirts, from ages 1–13 years, starting with our much-loved Ocean Drift print. Made in organic cotton, they’re designed for proper little adventurers — comfortable, colourful and made to be worn, loved and passed on. The adjustable sleeves mean they can be rolled up when the sun comes out (or when things inevitably get messy!).
We also launched our one-size-fits-all Ocean Drift dress. It’s lined, made from organic cotton and — most importantly — it has pockets. Because every good dress should. It’s easy, relaxed and designed to be thrown on whether you’re in Barbados or attempting to pretend it’s still summer back here in England.

Rejoin the Tribe
August also saw the launch of something that has been really important to me: Rejoin the Tribe, our new buy-back programme for Jago’s Tribe children’s clothing.
Children grow ridiculously quickly, and I’ve always hated the idea of perfectly good clothes sitting forgotten in a cupboard simply because they’ve been outgrown.
So, when your little adventurer outgrows their Jago’s Tribe pieces, you can send them back to us. If they’re in good condition, we’ll give you 20% off your next purchase.
Those pieces can then become part of our reLoved collection — ready to head off on another adventure with another little member of the Tribe.
And there’s another part of this that I particularly love. We already donate £1 from every new item sold to wildlife conservation, and when one of our reLoved pieces finds its next home, a further £1 from that second-hand sale will also go towards wildlife conservation.
It means one little shirt or romper can be worn by more than one child, stay in circulation for longer and keep giving back along the way.

What’s next?
Behind the scenes, we’re already looking ahead to autumn. We’ve been busy planning our next shoot, which will introduce some new Jago’s Tribe prints that I’m incredibly excited about. There’s something very satisfying about watching an idea that started as a scribble or colour combination slowly become an actual piece of clothing.
We’re also working away on a rather exciting new development for Jago’s Tribe. I’m going to be annoyingly mysterious about it for now, but all being well, we’ll finally be able to share the news next month. It feels like a really exciting next step for our little Tribe.
And then there’s Jago.
He is currently transitioning from crawling to standing at quite an alarming rate. Terrifying, actually. One minute he was relatively safely on the floor, and now he appears to have decided that vertical is the way forward. I’m not entirely ready for it.
It’s funny watching Jago grow alongside the business that bears his name. As he becomes more adventurous, so does Jago’s Tribe — and August has definitely felt like a month of both of them finding their feet.
Here’s to September, new prints, new adventures and, hopefully, me keeping up with Jago.
